Write down the player identity and the sign-in route actually used by the game. A Google Play account, an Octro guest session and a connected social identity are not interchangeable. Confirm recovery before clearing app storage, reinstalling or moving to another phone.
Three accounts can appear in one installation
Your phone may use a Google account to open Play, the game may start a guest session and a social feature may offer a separate connection. It is easy to say “I am signed in” without identifying which service you mean. When progress looks different, begin by naming the exact game identity currently displayed.
The player ID is usually more useful than a familiar screen name. Display names can be changed or repeated. Keep an ID screenshot privately, together with the supported sign-in connection and the date it was checked. Do not send that record to an unsolicited helper in a group chat.
What a guest session does and does not tell you
A guest option can make it quick to begin, but it is not evidence that the progress is recoverable after removing local data. Octro’s published FAQ treats guest and connected accounts as different identities rather than automatically merged balances. If the current app offers a connection or migration route, read its explanation before assuming it transfers every item.
Do not delete one identity in an attempt to force a merge. First record what the two identities show and ask support about that specific account situation. This preserves evidence and avoids creating a third account while trying to recover the first.
| Identity or action | What it is useful for | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Google Play account | Finding the listing and store transaction history | That game progress is saved in that Google account. |
| Guest identity | Recognising the current game session | That it survives clearing storage or a phone replacement. |
| Supported social connection | A sign-in or friend relationship offered by the game | That unrelated guest progress has been merged. |
| Same display name | A visible name inside the app | That two installations use the same player ID. |
| A purchase receipt | Evidence of a store transaction | That the game is currently displaying the receiving identity. |
Before an update, reinstall or phone change
- Record the player ID and current sign-in route.
- Check the recovery or account-connection explanation inside the app.
- Keep the original device available while confirming access on the new one.
- Install from the verified Octro Play listing.
- Compare player IDs before entering more tables or making purchases.
An ordinary update and removing the app are different actions. Clearing cache targets temporary data; clearing storage can remove local account state. The labels vary by Android device, so read the description shown by your phone before choosing a reset.
Read permissions as a set of decisions
Use the current Play data-safety section and the phone’s app-permission view to understand what the application requests. A permission name does not by itself tell you that every feature needs it. If a choice appears while using a social or media feature, read the purpose and decide whether you want that feature.
Do not grant a new permission merely because someone says it will restore chips or unlock a room. Similarly, a store privacy label is a developer disclosure, not an independent audit performed by this publication. Our role is to help you find and interpret the current information.
Preparing a private recovery report
Explain the original and current player IDs, the last successful access, the device change and the sign-in methods involved. State whether a reset or reinstall already occurred. Send receipts only through the appropriate private support route, and never include a password or verification code.
If you are signed into the intended identity but a reward or chip purchase remains missing, investigate the transaction separately. Our chip and purchase checklist helps keep account identity, virtual rewards and store receipts from being mixed into one vague report.
